Physical Facilities and Entryways

Physical Facilities and Entryways

If the facility in a leased office or in a building owned by the doctor?
What kind of sign is out front? What does it say? Is it inviting?
How is the parking lot configured? How big is it and how close to the office?
Are there enough handicapped accessible parking spots?
Is there sufficient parking for both staff and employees?
Are entryways handicapped accessible? Is there a ramp or some other way to get a wheelchair into the building? (If the building has not been remodeled in some time, it will probably have to be made handicapped accessible when you next remodel.)
Is the entrance to the office inviting? If there’s wording on the front door, what does it say?
How do the carpets look? Are they old, worn, and dirty, or are they fresh, new, and clean?
What is the appearance of the rest room(s)? Do they look clean? Are the floors clean? Are the restrooms handicapped-accessible (wide stall, higher toilet)?

In general, does the office give the appearance of a professional healthcare provider”?
